Application & Usage

Do I need to shake the products before using them?

• Yes. Shake for at least 30 seconds before each use, and re-shake periodically during application.

How much product should I apply?

• A thin, even coat is best. Avoid over-applying – excess product can cause cloudiness, slower drying, and a weaker finish. Wipe of any excess product quickly.

What should I use to apply the products?

• Use a 100% cotton rag for best results. *Do not use polyester or synthetic materials.
• Paper towels work for small areas. For floors, apply with a brush or 3/8” roller after cleaning with rags and Cleaner Sealer.

Do I need to clean the surface first?

• No prep needed! The first coat acts as your cleaning layer. Rub dirty areas thoroughly and use clean rags as needed. Apply another coat once cleaning is finished.
• On heavily soiled surfaces, use generous amounts of Cleaner Sealer, and use clean rags more frequently, regardless of the type of surface being treated.

How do I wipe off the excess product?

• Wipe in the direction of the grain – whether it’s wood or stainless steel. Look closely to follow the grain pattern. Note that the grain on doors runs in multiple patterns.

Can I apply the products to wet surfaces?

• No. Surfaces must be completely dry and free from moisture before application.

Can I use the products in direct sunlight or on hot surfaces?

• No. Avoid application on surfaces above 100°F, in direct sunlight, or when the air temperature is below 50° or above 90°

Can I apply the products to cold surfaces?

• Only use when both the surface and air temperatures are above 50°F.

Can I apply a second coat?

• Yes. For Repair & Finish, a second coat after 8 hours can increase sheen and durability.

Surface Compatibility

How do I know if the product will work on my surface?

• Always test a small, inconspicuous area first.

Do I need to choose a color?

• Nope! One formula fits most. Both products work on most clear-coated and most tan or brown-stained woods.

Will Repair & Finish work on painted surfaces?

• Only if the paint is a factory finish on metal surfaces, like powder coating or baked enamel. It won’t work consistently on hand-painted surfaces.

What surfaces can Cleaner Sealer be used on?

• Use it on stainless steel, brushed nickel, aluminum, clear-coated cabinets, furniture, tile, vinyl laminate, and flooring. Do not use it on food-contact or heat-source surfaces.

Maintenance & Longevity

How long do the results last?

• When properly applied, finishes last months to years depending on wear. Reapply as needed to maintain appearance and protection.

Does Cleaner Sealer leave a protective finish?

• Yes! It not only cleans but also seals the surface with a light, protective, water repellent layer that resists grime and buildup.

Safety & Disposal

Are the products safe to use indoors?

• Yes. Both formulas are low odor, zero VOC, and non-hazardous—safe for indoor and residential use.

How do I dispose of used rags and applicators?

• Soak them in water (bucket, sealed bag, etc.) for at least 24 hours before discarding. This prevents spontaneous combustion and complies with safe disposal practices.
